Which Norfolk town should you move to?

Forty-six towns and villages are covered on this site, and most people can rule out forty of them in about a minute once they are honest about budget, trains and how often they need Norwich. Three shortcuts, if you already know your answer

If the budget leads everything: Gorleston (around £180,274 average), Caister-on-Sea (around £195,000) and Great Yarmouth (around £210,000) put a beach within walking distance for less than a Norwich semi. Inland, Downham Market at around £235,000 adds a direct King’s Cross train.

If the London job is staying: only four places here run direct trains. Diss to Liverpool Street in about 90 minutes, King’s Lynn and Downham Market to King’s Cross in 100 minutes or so, and Norwich itself. Everywhere else means a change or a drive to a railhead first.

If you want the postcard: Holt (around £370,000), Wells-next-the-Sea (around £395,000) and Burnham Market (around £625,000) are the north Norfolk premium in ascending order. Reepham gets you most of the same feeling inland for around £330,000.
