How we keep this site running
Norfolk Living Guide is independent. We do not charge readers for the guides and we never will. The site is funded by paid placements sold directly to businesses, and by nothing else.
What we earn from links
Nothing. As of 25 July 2026 this site carries no affiliate links and earns no commission on any link in any guide. When we name an estate agent, a removals firm or a broadband provider, that link is there because it is useful, and clicking it pays us nothing.
We previously used Skimlinks, a service that converts ordinary links into commission-earning ones. It was removed on 14 July 2026 and is no longer present anywhere on the site. If we ever start earning commission on links, this page will say so before it happens, and the links themselves will be labelled.
Paid placements
We sell sponsored placements to businesses that want to reach people moving to Norfolk. Details and prices are on our advertising page. Three rules apply to every one of them, without exception.
- Every paid placement is labelled Sponsored at the top of the block, in the same plain wording each time.
- Paying us never earns a business a place in a ranking, a recommendation, or a kinder write-up. Rankings are decided editorially and the methodology is published.
- Paid links carry
rel="sponsored"(orrel="nofollow"), the tags Google requires for paid placements, so they pass no ranking benefit.
What this means for what you read
Our guides are not influenced by who pays us. We write honestly about the places we cover, including the downsides. If a town has poor transport, thin evening bus cover or expensive housing, we say so. That is the whole reason anyone reads this site, and it is worth more to us than any placement fee.
